should we be doing this?

It is wild that babies don't come with an instruction manual....that you can be discharged from the hospital without proving that you know anything about child care & safety....and we survive. Ada's umbilical cord finally fell off which gave us permission to give her a full blown bath. She seemed completely content with bath time. I personally have never understood baths. Yes, they are very relaxing, but how clean can you really get when you are sitting in your own grim and the water gets cold. I am a shower person. On vacation I will sometimes splurge my time on a bath, but feel the need to shower afterward. Which all leads me to another plug. I know I have been issuing a lot of them lately, but why stop now. Ada has the best bathtub ever. If I had a tub like hers then I would completely become a bath person. It has continuously clean water and the water is always warm. This tub remedies all my personal problems with a bath. If only I could fit. Clean Water Infant Tub

So despite lack of instruction manuals and proved abilities Ada's first bath was a success.

Brad said the same thing when we were leaving the hospital with Bryce. He looked at me and said, "Are they really just going to let us do this, they're really just going to let us leave?"

I still remember that inedpt feeling 5 years later. But, he's 5and still alive.....I guess we just have some parenting gene that kicks in....I think its called the grace of God!!

Keep the pictures coming.

I know I've said it before, but I think Ada is so beautiful! Jimmy had better start thinking now about what he'll do to scare all the boys off.

I am the same way! I love to soak in the bathtub, but I always shower before or after I get in! Glad she liked her first bath! Anna Kate loves her baths too! It would be hard if they did not like them... it is hard enough to keep them stable enough as it is! SLIPPERY WHEN WET AND SOAPY!

Shoot, Maddie is 5 and I still sometimes think I really don't know what I'm doing! :)
